The objective of ELECT A NEW CONGRESS, and its website are to provide all 162,000,000 registered American voters the means to elect a new congress dedicated to restoring liberty as our basis of government, which is the only means by which we can restore America’s greatness and wealth.
To Enlist or Elect A New Congress committed to restoring all the constitutional powers of Congress as listed in Article I, sec 8 & 9 of our U.S. Constitution, placing their execution wholly in the Public Forum where all legislation must be exclusively introduced, discussed, compromised and voted upon solely within said Public Forum. Only thus can the transparency in government be generated that is necessary to empower all Americans with sufficient information to deliver our true Consent of the Governed as demanded by our Declaration of Independence. Only by these exclusive acts can a government be justified by, and thus ruled by the people, and so defines Liberty.
Else the people be ruled as today, which defines the tyranny we reject.
“We demand the commitment of every candidate of Congress to immediately reclaim all the constitutional powers of Congress (Article I; sec. 8 & 9), and placing all these powers back into the Public Forum. It is only through this absolute practice that is the key mechanism of our U.S. Constitution, which provides for the transparency that is required to provide the voter with the clarity to judge intelligently, that candidate who deserves to serve as our congressman or senator in the United States Congress.”
Congress is the target because Congress directly represents all the people of the nation. The presidency represents the government and is too far beyond the control of the people right now. Besides, the real power of our Constitution lies with the Congress; the only problem is that Congress has assigned most of its powers to the President, his agencies, private corporations, and international governing bodies.
