The objective of ELECT A NEW CONGRESS, and its website are to provide all 162,000,000 registered American voters the means to elect a new congress dedicated to restoring liberty.
True capitalism requires an unrestricted free market. Capitalisms biggest problem, is that it is confused with its alter ego in the tyrannical state, that of “crony capitalism”. True capitalism exists only in a state of political Liberty. Crony capitalism is no capitalism at all, but should be referred to much more accurately as, “Opportunism”.
In true capitalism, the most productive people are those rewarded for creating the most value. But in America’s fascist state of tyranny, it is the most politically connected who are awarded the greatest wealth.
This unjust state of awards is what pulls the nation apart, as the factions that have seized certain powers of government for their own aggrandizement, must allow the politicians they hire to maintain their status quo. Their’s is a symbiotic relationship.
This is accommodation is made in the politicians appeal to the masses most easily bought off, rewarding those people cut out from the higher re-organization of wealth. They are paid off in subsidies in order to allow the politician to maintain their place in government.
The higher wealth doesn’t pay for it, as they support the politicians. Nor does the lower class pay for it, simply because they can’t. So while the government bestows unearned wealth upon the high and the low, it is the middle classes that are devoured. Because besides being un-represented in government, they are the only ones left to pay. And so they become the perfect patsy.
But it is the rising middle class that is the engine of growth, as most new job creation comes from small business. So a contracting middle class means fewer jobs and less real creation of wealth. This reduces the total wealth available to the country and the necessary contractions begin.
At extremes after years of abuse, this leads to the governments bankruptcy, as it begins to fail systematically, or system wide. Seeming heroic gestures are made, but the causation of fixes cause more problems than they replace until that government begins to lose its justification in the minds of the people.
This is what is occurring in America today. Our government keeps mounting stop gap measures and kicking the can down the road, but at some point in the near future, the road ends at a wall.
This is called governmental bankruptcy, known historically as, Revolution.
The only remedy is to remove the means to the “Opportunism” of “Crony Capitalism”. This requires that all powers of government be removed from access by individuals or their groups, or factions. The only means by which this can be effected is by restoring the all the powers back to the legislature, with the caveat that the legislature introduce, debate, compromise and vote on the exercise of all their powers within the opacity of the public forum.
This requires the simple legislative act of a legislature (Congress), taking back their constitutional powers to rule. By and large, it is that simple, but its first step is a courageous act.
This defines political Liberty, or that happy state where the people rule over their government. Tyranny is where the government rules the people, and where factions and opportunism repose.
Only by restoring and maintaining political Liberty in the daily operation of the powers of government, can a nation eradicate factions, their lobbyists, and their opportunism. Political Liberty charges a high price for those who run the risks and wrath of a constituency armed with missiles of truth when watched against a legislature that votes from within a glass house. There is no place for the lie of omission to hide.
It creates transparency, and transparency allows the people to render the true Consent of the Governed. Only then do the people rule over their government and gives capitalism its opportunity to rise and revive all the nation.
Only then can business be conducted in an unrestricted free market, because no one has taken the privilege to restrict business. Only then can Capitalism take credit for its actions, better or worse.
In America today, there is no meaning to capitalism, because it does not exist.
And there is no Liberty in America today, because “Liberty means nothing when one hand of tyranny is in your pocket, and the other round your throat.”
