Euro Deja’ Vu: The Failure of the Continental Currency in 1931

This is a reprint from an earlier blog that has become even more pertinent as the summer wears on.  It documents the failure of the Pound Sterling Gold Standard, technically a phony gold standard, which was only part of its problem.   The key comparison to today is its continual denial of its survival right up to its moment of capitulation by the Bank of England, whose role is being filled this time by the ECB and Mario Draghi, and his incessant

Saving the Euro, OR, How I Learned to Love the Money Pump

The Euro's very own Mario Draghi has made it clear this week that the European Central Bank (ECB) has the rights within the Euro Treaty to do whatever needs to be done to stem the rising tide of Spanish bonds.   The plan seems to be for the ECB to take its old EFSF Bailout plan, morph it into the ESM, which, provided it is recognized as a bank, could borrow from the ECB; then, while they couldn't buy back their debt directly from the ECB, they

THROW’EM UNDER THE BUS…                                               BEFORE THEY COME FOR US….   This is now the battle cry of every current and former Federal Reserve Bank official and hanging chad, who suddenly want to throw all the insolvent 2B2Fail Banks under the bus before everyone turns on them.   This is the same Federal Reserve Bank that has kept these same 2B2Fail banksters on life

Expanding the War in the Middle East: Cold War II Heats Up

The Expanding The War in the Middle East: Cold War II Heats Up   Hot on the heels of what we’ve been talking about here at electanewcongress.com…. With the surge in fighting on the streets of Damascus made possible only by a major influx of serious hardware it goes far beyond rocket-propelled grenades and AK-47’s.  Any large offensive that can sweep into Damascus and take out Syrian tanks requires some sophisticated weaponry, and a lot

Liberty As A Foreign Policy
Liberty As A Foreign Policy

Liberty as a Foreign Policy   The 1st and 2nd Cold Wars Reagan won the First Cold War by falling back upon the strength of Liberty against all standards, and for a short time America was making good on the promise of The Great Experiment of our Revolution to shine the Light of Liberty through out the world. Reagan’s fault was in not making Liberty the basis of his domestic policy, too. Kennedy rediscovered Liberty, but too late.  Eisenhower and

The System Isn’t Broken, It’s Crooked
Crooked American System

Dissecting the Illusion: From the Economists Viewpoint I was watching Austrian School Pedro Schwartz duke’en it out with Keynesian Paul Krugman at a recent conference in Europe, via a video feed. Unbelievable… only economists, right (rhetorically)? Schwartz says the key issue to a proper economic recovery and operation is based upon demand, while Krugman claims it is supply. And while Schwartz is only less wrong than Krugman, they both miss the

The Dollar Oil Standard (Standard Oil Dollars)
Fools Gold Dollar

A great deal has been made about the necessity of a dollar gold standard in America’s future when the dollar standard collapses, but it occurs to me that the realities of the world’s monetary system is that since 1971 the world has not been on a dollar standard, but on a dollar oil standard. The reality is that a world monetary standard cannot simply be based upon a currency alone, as many mistake the role of the dollar to be in today’s world.

Never has so much has been said and so little good done since the fiscal reform of Wall Street as legislated by the Dodd Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010.    What’s the old saying, “It’s like mating elephants; it’s done at a high level with lot’s of roaring and screaming, and takes 2 years to get results.” As you can see from the chart on Dodd Frank, its page volume attests to the documented get out of jail

America’s Finally Confirmed Ambassador to Germany
American Ambassador to Germany

A big welcome goes out to the newly confirmed by the Senate, but having held the post since 2009, America’s Ambassador to Germany, Philip D. Murphy, 23 year senior director of Goldman Sachs, native of Boston Mass., and graduate of Harvard class 1979 (mba ’83), continuing to do God’s work above and beyond the call of tyranny for Goldman Sachs. Mr. Murphy will continue now to help twist the arm of Germany to commit fiscal suicide and bail out

All American Voters.: Sign the Declaration of Liberty

Demand candidates to Congress to reclaim all Powers (Art I-Sec 8-US Con)

I just signed the following Declaration of Liberty addressed to: All 162,000,000 registered American voters..

Demand candidates to Congress to reclaim all Powers (Art I-Sec 8-US Con)

WHEREAS LIBERTY is defined as that State where the people rule over the government: This Declaration is given to underlining those critical terms required to ensure that Liberty, which is the original intent of our United States Constitution, be restored to the daily governance and operation of our United States Government.
This Declaration of American Liberty supports and is subservient to America’s Declaration of Independence & our U.S. Constitution.
We the People, acknowledge that Liberty requires all powers of the Congress be removed from the access and control of individuals, groups, or agencies; for it is only by usurpation of these powers, that factions gain control over the laws of the land and the lives of her people. It is this criminal and treasonous usurpation of power, that “ is the customary weapon by which free governments are destroyed.”*
Further, that these restored powers of Congress are to be executed under the authority of all the people, re-establishing not only the power of Congress, but also its fiduciary duty to the people. The incorporation of these procedures inherent to Liberty into our government is a touchstone and the very cornerstone upon which we judge our Liberty.
THEREFORE, We the People, hereby sign and resolve ourselves bind our representatives to, Demand:

    Article I.
Complete restoration of all constitutional powers of Congress, back to Congress, as written in our United States Constitution, Article I, Sec. 7, 8, & 9, and so restores operational Liberty in the execution of the business of the nation. This causes two things to occur.
    a. Liberty replaces our tyrannical centrally planned state. As a nations political model determines its economic model, so will “Liberty, once taken root, is a plant of rapid growth.”**
    b. Liberty, by taking power away from public and private agencies, it removes from power the hands of “unprincipled men”*, and ends their means to transfer wealth away from all Americans. This is America’s problem and enemy. Political Liberty is the only solution.

    Article II.
    Congress wholly conduct and execute all introduction, discussion, compromise, and vote on all Acts, exercising their powers exclusively within the public forum on the floor of Congress, only thus they ensure;
    a. Maximum Transparency in the execution of its duty which provides for,
    b. True Consent of the Governed as required by our Declaration of Independence. This is the only means by which the people rule.

    Article III.
The Necessary and Proper Clause (Sec 8), requires that the word “Proper” means all legislative and policy laws or decrees must be subject to the same process as any Act of Congress, performed exclusively and wholly within its public forum.

    Article IV.
Congress must restore to the states those powers not specifically assigned to the Congress, as Congress, in order to perform its own powers/duties, will be pre-occupied in its reclaimed constitutional performance. This natural restriction of time inherent to these powers/duties will weigh in when there are questions.

    Article V.
Prosecution of all criminal and treasonous financial crimes prior to, during, and after the financial upheavals of 2008, must be pursued thoroughly regardless of any high standing or collateral impact.
We the People either live in Liberty, or tyranny. We either rule our government, or be rule. We either all enjoy the bounty of our nation, or we wait for scraps from the hierarchy which rules our money, our lives, and our freedom. For Liberty means nothing if tyranny has one hand in your pocket and the other round your throat.
Liberty and tyranny are in dialectic opposition. Each defines the other by which they are not. Everyone must make their choice, and no decision, is a decision for the status quo of tyranny that afflicts and rules our nation today.
THEREFORE, We the undersigned cast our lot and lives for Liberty.
